What is a Brazilian Butt Lift?
The Brazilian Butt Lift is comprised of two parts. First, we harvest fat from undesirable places on your body in a process commonly known as liposuction. Second, we immediately transplant that fat back into your buttocks to help you achieve a more ideal shape. Because it’s your very own fat, it’s an extremely natural way to achieve desirable results with the added benefit of becoming more slender in your unwanted areas as well. During this process we use a tumescent numbing technique combined with nitrous oxide which makes the procedure very comfortable. This allows you to be awake throughout the entire process, making it one of the easiest and safest body enhancing procedures.
Fat is harvested from all of your stubborn areas using a suction cannula. The most common areas for fat removal are the stomach, flanks, bra fat, arms, and thighs. The fat is collected into a sterile container, processed, then injected into the buttock to enhance its projection, lift, and to combat those hip dips.
Why is using fat better than implants?
The benefit of using your own fat, as opposed to an implant, is that it’s extremely natural. It’s YOUR fat that is being harvested from your own body, therefore the end result is a drastically more natural appearance and more natural feeling that you will enjoy for years to come. Alternatives, such as implants, may not look or feel as natural, especially as the body ages and the tissue surrounding the implant becomes looser.
What is a “Skinny BBL”?
Skinny BBL is for girls that don’t have much fat but still want a more projected, rounder, and lifted booty. Dr. Torres uses tiny specialized cannulas to skillfully remove and sculpt your body, and he then uses that same fat to fill in your hip dips and give you more projection, all the while still leaving your skin looking smooth and your shape more curvy in just the right places.
What is tumescent?
Tumescent is the solution of saline, lidocaine, and epinephrine that we use for BBL procedures. Liposuction using tumescent allows you to be fully awake during the entire procedure. The epinephrine is also a very potent vasoconstrictor which minimizes bruising.
How painful is a BBL?
The most discomforting part of the BBL is the very beginning during the tumescent phase. This process lasts approximately 30 minutes and with nitrous oxide, most patients get through this with only mild discomfort. The second phase is the suction or fat removal stage. This is by far the easiest stage. Most patients watch TV, or use their phones and check their social media accounts. The last stage is the fat transfer. We inject additional numbing solution into the area prior to injecting the fat. Most patients feel just moderate pressure which is short lived. You will be awake the entire time and do not have to undergo general anesthesia.

What’s the cost of BBL?
To give you an idea about pricing of our awake-liposuction with a Brazilian Butt Lift, we have to get the fat first from other parts of your body, typically from abdomen and flanks. The first area is $3,500 and each additional area treated is approximately $1,500 depending on your body and the time it requires to do your treatment. The fat transfer to the buttocks is $2,500. Most people’s BBL with an average BMI runs around $9,000 (abs, flanks, bra roll, plus fat transfer) to get enough fat and to keep you looking great for the long run. There is an additional high-BMI fee of between $1,000 to $2,000 for people with a BMI of around 29 to 32.
- BBL PRICE, PART ONE – Choose a “first area” of your body to receive liposuction. The first area costs $3,500 and is almost always done in the stomach/abdomen, but could also be done somewhere else if you like.
- BBL PRICE, PART TWO (OPTIONAL) – Choose a “second area” or “third area” to receive liposuction. This part is completely optional, because some patients only want or need the first area. Common second and third areas include the flanks, bra fat, inner thighs, arms, etc. For each extra area that you add after the first, it’s an additional $1,500 per area. Remember, this part is optional.
- BBL PRICE, PART THREE – This is the actual fat transfer and butt lift portion of the procedure, and it costs $2,500.

I must start by saying that Dr Torres and his team at Skin and Skinnier are award winning! This review will not give the justice it deserves.
Even though I was not his patient yet, Dr. Torres was willing to my answer calls, my questions, and was fully responsive when needed. That alone spoke volumes. He was very accommodating when it came to scheduling conflicts. It was smooth sailing!
Upon arrival at the med spa, I was greeted by Dr. Torres and his wife Doris, who also works there. I immediately felt at ease. I had been traveling all day and headed into surgery same day but they provided me with liquids and snacks, assuring I was calm and stress-free. He took time to discuss what my outcomes would be and what my expectations were. One thing about him is- he never makes false promises and he never tries to “sell” you anything.
